Small groups are a great way to get to know each other better, to build our faith in Christ, to serve others together, and to share life’s ups and down’s.
Some of our groups are listed here. Feel free to contact the office for more info and to discover what other things may be happening. We encourage you to find a group to be a part of.

10am SUNDAY MORNING
We would love to have you join us on Sunday morning, either in person or via the zoom link on our home page.
May you notice 'things of God' as you journey each day.
Open Door Prayer
Each weekday morning during office hours
Open Door Prayer is about praying for Fairfield Parish/Discovery … in the auditorium, in the heart of our church community, so that the very walls of the building become soaked in and saturated with our prayers.
Our doors will be open during office hours if anyone would like to come in and spend some time in prayer. Through the prayer board and journals we can communicate with each other about what we've been saying to & hearing from God. Phil and Shona pray in the auditorium for 15 to 30 minutes most days (usually 8.30 to 9.00am ‘ish) if an earlier time suits you.
The door is open ...
As a church every step into the future begins with prayer, because He is the one who knows the future and He is the one who knows the way forward.
“God's foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, …
God's weakness is stronger than human strength.” adapted from 1 Cor 1:2
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:20
GODspace (Home Group)
Sundays 7-9pm at Discovery
Is a group where people gather together as part of Christ's living body connected in community. Not a social catch-up time per se. The focus being: to teach, to learn, to share, and to pray expectantly for the community and ourselves as a living, visible CHURCH IN COMMUNITY.
1st & 3rd Wednesday nights of each month
The aim is to provoke thought and inspire action. If you would like to join, give Ross a text or call on 021 222 7677 or email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Monthly Church Prayer Meeting
Last Monday each Month 7:30-8:30pm
Most of us don't find prayer easy, yet we know lots of things we want to be praying for - including prayer for Discovery Church and its 'reach' into the local community. In the Bible when people pray, it is normally as part of the local expression of the body of Christ, not only as individuals - it seems like God wants to see his people gathering together locally to praise Him and pray for needs. With that in mind, we would like to set aside an hour a month to pray together for the Church and its ministries. These meetings will be on the last Monday of each month from 7:30-8:30pm at the church. So if you can, please come and join us.
